New collaborative paper with Michael Birnbaum at MIT published in PNAS. Early in the COVID-19 pandemic, a hypothesis emerged that the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein could bind the T cell receptor and act like a bacterial superantigen, causing all kinds of biological mayhem. This doesn't seem to be the case. See https://www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.2406615121. Great work by Tatiana Rosales and our MIT colleagues.
