Bassant Eldaly
Graduate Student in Integrated Biomedical Sciences
Hailing from the ancient land of Egypt, Bassant "Queen B" Eldaly earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Zewail City for Science and Technology, specializing in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Drug Design and Development. During her senior year, she went on a one-year research internship at a biotech company, which ignited her passion for immunology. Now as a PhD student in the Baker lab, Bassant is investigating the structural and biophysical basis of the specificity of a panel of T cell receptors that target the mutant KRAS G12D-derived neoantigen. Her work aims to unlock invaluable insights for the development of T cell-based immunotherapy targeting the 'undruggable' KRAS.
