Eliza Kovriguina received her PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Moscow State University. She was a postdoctoral fellow at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Yale University. The complexity of biomolecular machinery has always fascinated her, and her previous work involved the assembly and regulation of cellular translational complexes, the function of human RNase P, as well as protein-membrane interactions in Ras GTPase and cytochrome P450 oxidoreductase. She joined the University of Notre Dame in 2018, where she expanded her skill set by earning an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Administration. In the Baker lab, Eliza oversees lab operations and personnel and also performs research into the structural principles that contriubute to MHC protein associated autoimmunity.
